🍃Sustainability and your Career: Baby Steps or Full-On Eco-Warrior Mode? 🌍

Hey there 🖐!

As we are becoming hotly 🥵 aware, our planet has gone from being relatively stable and predictable to becoming a natural-phenomenon Russian roulette. Many are trying to turn angst into action and are living more sustainably. And this, of course, is also becoming part of the equation when making professional decisions.

Whether you want to take baby steps or are ready to embrace sustainability like it is the latest Tik-Tok challenge, here are resources that can help you (or a friend of yours who needs your endless wisdom) navigate how to incorporate sustainability in your professional life:

1. 🤔 Know little about sustainability and want to upskill? Here is a list of trainings to learn more about sustainability.

2. 🔗Want to incorporate sustainability into your current role? Here is a framework and case studies about the return on investment of sustainability in different aspects of a business. I promise that if you show your boss the ROI of going green, they'll be jumping on the eco-train faster than you can say "climate change" three times💸.

3. 📈Want to stay up to date on the latest on sustainability and be aware of resources that can help you in your role? Subscribe to this newsletter, 🍵The Green Tea, written by yours truly :). I promise it's better than the smart and sensible Impossible Meat vegan burger that you love to hate.

4. 🏨Want to learn more about what a full-time sustainability role encompasses? This article walks you through the responsibilities of a sustainability leader. Remember, these are like Earth's real superheroes, but with a cape made of recycled materials.

5. 💡Have an idea for a sustainable business? Here are some startup accelerators that support green startups and where you can look at other startups in the space.

6. 🤝Want to network with people focused on sustainability? Here are groups (1, 2, 3) to meet sustainability professionals. I know, networking can be a drag, but just think of it as a dating app and swiping right for shared eco-passions.

Although the world has made great strides, there is still a lot that you can contribute to this space since we are still trying to figure out how to truly live sustainability on this planet. Whatever path you take, remember that this is a journey, not a destination, but the most important step is often just taking the first step.

Feel free to reach out if you have questions, need somebody to bounce ideas against, or just want to share bad green jokes. Good luck!

Warm regards / saludos,

Julio
